TCCIMA poised to broaden ties with EU
Tehran- During the 4th Europe-Iran Forum, a world class business conference in Zurich, Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) Masoud Khansari announced his organization’s readiness for boosting ties with the European Union (EU), the portal of TCCIMA reported on Wednesday.
Khansari, who led an economic delegation to Switzerland to attend the forum on October 3 and 4, said that “according to the latest data published by the European Commission, Iran-EU trade in the first seven months of 2017 has increased by 80 percent, compared to the same period in 2016.”
“Fortunately, all the released data confirm an increase in Iran-EU ties after implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal- called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA),” he said, “According to European officials, Iran’s exports to Europe has tripled after JCPOA implementation and the rise is really significant for Iran, however, the figures are still low.”
“The trade between Iran and Europe stood at €10 billion in the first half of 2017, becoming two-folded in comparison with the first six months of the previous year,” he added.
